What is the Science Shop?

The Science Shop at the University of Oslo invites master’s students within the humanities, social sciences and educational sciences to write their master’s thesis in cooperation with a broad range of organisations and companies.

Our partners range from ministries, via research institutes to non-governmental organisations and consulting companies.

The partners engage the students to carry out research projects relevant to their own field of work, and in return offer guidance, access to sources and sometimes even scholarships.

Why use the Science Shop?

External partner collaboration gives you many advantages. Some of them are:

  • You can start networking with potential future employers while you are still a student
  • Your master’s thesis will be relevant to a wider public outside the university
  • You will get easy access to relevant resources
