The university shall address global challenges relating to climate change and the environment through research, the provision of environmentally relevant courses of study, and the exercise of sustainable operating practices. Through greater and unified environmental efforts, UiO shall establish itself as a green university, as laid down in the university's strategic plan for 2010 through 2020.
UiO improves its sustainability performance
In a recent report on Environmental Sustainability, UiO scores 35 out of 50 marks. A great improvement from 2010, when the score was 20.
