Green prescription
The ’Green prescription’ option is for employees who need to start an exercise programme in connection with work-related stress injuries or health problems.
A 'Green prescription' from SiO's health service or The Occupational Health Unit (BHT) at UiO renders UiO-employees the opportunity to obtain an agreement to take part in adjusted activities at SiO, during working hours, with up to two hours free time pr week.
Employers are recommended to give employees up to two free hours a week for a six-month period to take part in this personalized exercise programme.
Everyone with a 'Green prescription' is given a free health profile test to find out what he/she needs and what will be a realistic exercise plan. SiO has several adjusted activities marked green in their 'Group training schedule'. In addition there are group training in the swimming hall marked blue, and other activities with other colours may also be of interest.
You do not need an admission card for the health profile, it is free. However, you must buy an admission card to take part in the adjusted activities or other group training offers, provided that these activities are not covered by the agreement between SiO and UiO about Group activities during working hours.
Only the health profile is included in 'Green prescription'. Bring the health profile to booking and the appointment.
Valid for six months
The prescription is valid for six months and can be renewed for a further six months if necessary. At the end of the period a new health profile test is carried out, and the employee is called in for a talk. A green prescription is not necessary in order to take part in "Friskvern" (the Stay Healthy Programme ), but it is a condition for obtaining an agreement for free time during working hours.
