Job structure
The job structure provides a description of the tasks, level of responsibility and qualification requirements relating to jobs which form part of the University of Oslo’s main structure.
Job structure for technical-administrative job categories
The technical-administrative staff at UiO is divided into the following main job group categories:
- Management positions
- Administrative positions
- Technical positions
- Clinical positions
- Operational positions
- Library positions
The job structure’s description of the various jobs is intended to form the basis for all the work on the job structure and manpower plans and is to be used in connection with job advertisements and when considering individual pay rises.
It is the tasks assigned to the job which determine the job code to be used. The uniform use of the respective codes is an important condition for achieving an integrated structure. It is therefore important that the choice of job code reflects the job in question’s actual level of tasks and responsibilities.
