It’s time for another UiO Festival. In addition to all our employees, we invite the population of the entire city. Since we don’t have a big marketing budget we must rely on word of mouth, and we hope that you will help us.

Until Friday, 21 December, there are ordinary work days. Between Christmas and New Year, where the work situation allows for this, employees may start their work day at 10 am. This year, this applies to two work days, i,e, Thursday, 27 December, and Friday, 28 December. One of these days employees at UiO may take off with pay.
Paying business travel with an UiO credit card greatly facilitates the travel expense settlement. New agreements and simplified procedures make business travel at UiO a lot easier.

Liv-Elisif Q. Kalland was elected as University Board representative for the group fixed-term academic staff for the period 1 August, 2012, to 31 July, 2013. Knut Christian Myhre was elected first deputy and Hege Rudi Standal was elected second deputy.

The next course will be held on 14 May.

You are advised to hand in your tax deduction card for to the University's Pay Section by 1 February. You may send it by post or put it in the mailbox marked "Skattekort 2012", in the 6th floor of Lucy Smith's house. The mailbox is available on weekdays between. 08.00-15.30.
“As much as 30 per cent of the EU projects at UiO are related to environmental research. That says something about the high quality in this field of research,” says Senior Adviser Vibeke Alm.
– UiO's purchases were responsible for around 60 per cent of total emissions in 2009, says Jorulf Brøvig Silde, project manager of the Green UiO project. This figure includes everything from the use of consultants to purchases of chemicals. This is shown by UiO's first greenhouse gas accounts.
