Sorting of regular waste

Employees at the University are to sort their waste into two categories: residual waste (including food waste) and paper/cardboard. At certain places it is also possible to dispose of metal and glass waste.

  • Residual waste (including food waste): Disposed of in rubbish bins placed in offices and common areas. Avoid the disposal of sharp objects in bins where they might harm the cleaners. The cleaners empty the baskets regularly.
  • Paper and cardboard: To be sorted by the user into designated recycling boxes in offices and common areas. The users empty the recycling box into the nearest paper container. In most units paper/cardboard containers will be set out near the users once a week.
  • Glass and metal: Certain units which have a considerable amount of glass and metal waste, have specially designated containers for this purpose. Other users may deposit glass and metall for recycling in labeled containers in our waste stations (Norwegian).

For EE waste and hazardous waste there are other, appropriate schemes.
