The HR portal has now been in use for some time and a number of suggestions for improvment and wishes for new functions have been set forth. In the revised edition which has been launched today the most important feedback has been incorporated.

What is new?

The first thing you will notice is that the portal has received a new look. UiO's new graphic profile is integrated both on the log-in page and inside the HR portal.

Other important changes include:

  • Personal information
Here you can edit information about yourself, e.g. register the names and dates of birth of your children, something that is a precondition to receive the absence quota for sick children in the portal; change your private address and list your visiting and postal address at work if these differ from your unit's address. Note that only information that you can edit yourself is visible in the portal; non-editable information is not shown.
  • Working Time and Absence
Under "Working Time and Absence" several changes have been made and employees who record working hours will notice significant improvements. In the window for recording working hours the calendar has received a colour coding which makes it easier to detect if you lack recording for specific days. All official holidays are visible in the calendar. In addition, quotas and absence requests are accessable through individual tabs in the window for recording working hours.
  • Travel and Expenses
Under "My travel- and expense claims" you now more easily obtain an overview of your outlays, both those claimed and those approved.

Log in to the portal and have a look!

English user guides delayed

The user guides for employees and the user guides for leaders list in thematical order alle the user guides available for the HR portal.

Unfortunately, it has not been possible to get all English user guides ready for the launching of the revised HR portal. Work is under way and highly prioritized. In the meantime, please seek help with a Norwegian colleague, your personnel manager or local personnel officer if the available user guides prove to be insufficient.

Performance issues?

Some users of the HR portal have been experiencing performance problems since the launch of the latest upgrade. Issues have predominantly been related to the tasks of recording working hours and absences. The performance issues are related to the individual user's web browser settings, and to Internet Explorer (IE) in particular.

Read how you can rectify the problem.
