2011 Focus on Working Environment Project

The background for this project, the aim of which is to develop measures to improve the working environment in UiO, is an audit report that identified positive aspects of the working environment and also a few challenges that UiO must address.

Working Environment Workshops – Spring 2011

UiO has chosen to develop working environment measures through workshops in all the faculties, museums and in the central administration. The workshops will be made up of groups that represent each unit.

Background for the project

As a follow-up to previous audits at the Faculty of Dentistry, in 2009 and 2010, the Labour Inspection Authority conducted an audit of the university as a whole. The positive findings confirm that in general, UiO has a good working environment, but the Labour Inspection Authority also identified a few aspects that UiO was instructed to examine more closely.

Future work

The local working environment committees (LAMU) and the main working environment committee (AMU) will discuss the findings from the working environment workshops.

The Organisation and Personnel Department will then collate the findings in a joint report to the Labour Inspection Authority, which must be submitted by 1st April 2011. The preliminary findings and UiO’s final report will be published on this website.

The project will provide UiO with a standard survey method for the working environment and any matters that emerge during the project phase will be followed-up according to the usual procedure.
