A demonstration of distributed synchronisation of musical nodes.

A Puredata-implementation can be run on your iOS device using MobMuPlat. Install the mobmuplat app on your device and add the PD-patch and the GUI-file to the mobmuplat-folder.

A matlab simulation is also available, enabling animation of the individual phases and frequencies of all nodes.

The Max/MSP version allows realtime simulation and manipulation of parameters.

Two scripts for reading GDIF data from sdif files into Matlab: (1) mcreadgdif.m reads one stream of GDIF data into MoCap Toolbox format. (2) readgdif.m reads all GDIF streams in an SDIF file into a Matlab struct array. The scripts require Easdif to run.

This little instrument/composition is inspired by Ge Wang’s Clix for Chuck. It is played by typing on the keyboard, and each key will give a slightly different sonic response. Click-it is not an instrument per se, since you do not control sound directly. Rather, you tap into the underlying pulse when hitting a key, so dependent on when you hit the key you may or may not have a sound being played directly.

The Musical Gestures Toolbox is a collection of modules and abstractions developed in and for the graphical programming environment Max 5 . The toolbox is currently being developed within the Jamoma open platform for interactive art-based research and performance. The toolbox is probably most useful for people that already are experienced Max programmers. People looking for similar functionality should check out some of the standalone applications we have built based on the toolbox.

This is very basic audio and video recorder, with the possibility to record from a camera connected to the computer. It offers the possibility to control brightness, contrast and saturation in realtime, and to choose different types of audio and video compression. The option to automatically create file names based on the computer's date and time, allows for quick recording.
