TRAVEL DIRECTIONS
Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL) to Oslo City Center
The international airport in Oslo, Oslo Airport Gardermoen, is located approximatley 50 km north of the city. The easiest and fastest way to get from the airport to the city center is by using the Airport Express Train (www.flytoget.no). This is the most frequent way of travelling between the airport and the city with an average travel time of about 20 minutes from the airport to the Central Station (Oslo S) and a 25 minutes trip to the National theatre train station. Both are located in Oslo city center. The train usually departs every tenth minute.
The train station for the Airport Express Train is located inside the terminal building. When you leave the customs area in the arrival hall, you will find ticket vending machines approximately 70 meters to the right. Alternatively tickets may be bought by swiping your credit card as you enter the train platforms. To get a receipt you then have to register your credit card at www.flytogetkvittering.no and you will automatically receive the receipt by email the following day. All major credit cards are accepted. The price is 170 Norwegian kroner (NOK).
Alternatively you can take the Airport Express Bus (www.flybussen.no) or a taxi (not recommended) to get to the city center. This trip takes approximately 35-45 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. If you go by taxi, please make sure to ask for a fixed price.
