Universitetet i Oslo og professor Tore Slaatta ved Institutt for medier og kommunikasjon skal frem til 2014 lede et tverrfaglig forskningsprosjekt om maktproblematikk i norsk kunst i dag. De fire kunstfeltene som skal belyses er scenekunst, litteratur, musikk og billedkunst. Begreper som "makt og kunstenes autonomi" og "kvalitetsforståelser" angir hovedfokus i prosjektet, som spesielt skal studere kulturpolitiske og -økonomiske betingelser for kunst- og kulturproduksjon i Norge i dag.

The Methodological Relevance of Reconstruction in Democratic Theory. The workshop is financed by the Research Programme on Democracy and RECON (Workpackage 1 “Theoretical Framework”) 26/27 May 2011, ARENA-Center for European Studies (Oslo), Sognsveien 68, 3rd floor.
Those interested in presenting a paper at the 2nd International Conference on Democracy as Idea and Practice should send their paper proposal (title and brief abstract) to the relevant workshop directors (see links below) no later than September 15, 2010. Accepted participants (paper givers, discussants or ordinary participants) will get an e-mail with registration details by the end of September.
