SFFE (Centre for Renewable Energy) and MILEN are inviting all to an exciting lunch seminar featuring Alexandra Klimek of the Department for Interdisciplinary Culture Studies, NTNU. Alexandra will introduce the concept of ‘Socialisation of Scientific and Technological Research’, to require an attitude that really recognizes plurality, diverse social and cultural contexts.

Exciting seminar featuring Bruna De Marchi and Silvio Funtowicz on September 21st in Georg Sverdrups house. Funtowicz's presentation has been titled “Models of Science and Policy: From Expert Demonstration to Post Normal Science”, while De Marchi will be handling “Social Scientists in Disaster Research and Policy”. The presentations will be followed by ample time for questions and discussion.
Detlef F. Sprinz, senior scientist at Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and member of the MILEN International Advisory Committee will be giving a seminar at Blindern Campus on August 30th. The seminar is open to all.

Many scholars find interdisciplinary research difficult. Interfaculty research may be particularly challenging. This seminar will explore the potential of certain methodological tools, in particular agent-based and other types of dynamic modeling, for providing common ground that might facilitate interdisciplinary and interfaculty research.
Mikael Syväjärvi will hold a presentation on the new developments in LED, its energy reduction potential and its compatibility with solar energy. Following this Mats Bladh will present his latest social studies on LED lighting culture.
