From home and away

To use some UiO IT services, you need to use a computer which is on the UiO network. Perhaps you need to read a journal with UiO subscription or access files in your home directory (M:) from home or while travelling. You can use the UiO network remotely through different services. UiO Program Kiosk is a recommended solution, but there are also other alternatives. 

I'm not on campus and I need:

E-mail and calendar access

You can always access your e-mail and calendar by logging in by webmail (Outlook Web app).

Access to my home disk or network disk

Access to UiO licensed software

  • Use software from central servers, for example by using the UiO Programkiosk.
  • Use Remote Desktop from to access the programs on your work computer.
  • Use Winprog (for Windows) or Macprog (for Mac) to install software.
