Paper-based test (pbt): USD 160
Internet-based test (ibt): USD 250
When and where
Paper-based tests are offered six times a year in either Flekke Fjaler or Trondheim.
Internet-based tests are offered 1 - 2 times a month in Drammen.
Results
Paper-based test results are available approximately five weeks after the test date.
Internet based test results are available two weeks after the test date.

Preparation
The TOEFL website has test preparation materials to buy and/or download for free:
- Paper-based Test (pbt) preparation. Once registered for TOEFL pbt, you will be sent a sample test in the post.
- Internet-based Test (ibt) preparation. Once you have booked an ibt test date, you are entitled to a sample test online.
Preparation materials can also be purchased via Norli or Akademika bookstores.
What's the difference between the TOEFL and IELTS?
The TOEFL is an American test, while the IELTS is a British test. Both are accepted at most institutions. Contact your institution to find out if you must take one test or the other.
