Language tandem
In a language tandem, two students with different native languages communicate together as a pair in order to learn each other's languages and to learn more about the other person and his or her culture.
There are no strict rules, no grammar tests or control of learning aims in a language tandem. The two people involved in the tandem can talk about books they have read or films they have seen, they can prepare a meal together or simply meet for a cup of coffee. Rules about where and how the tandem takes place are laid down by the partners themselves!
How to find a tandem partner
The International Education Office can help you find a tandem partner. All you have to do, is to fill out and submit the registration form.
After you have submitted the language tandem form, we will try to find a tandem partner who matches with your language abilities and preferences. It is important that you fill out the whole form correctly. When we find a tandem-partner for you, we will contact you via email.
Please note that we can not give you a guarantee that we will find a tandem partner for you. This depends on how many other people participate in our programme.
