Apply for recognition of previous education
If you already have education from UiO or from another higher education institution, you can apply for recignition of this education into your study programme at UiO. You can apply for recognition of both Norwegian and foreign education.
We conduct an academic assessment of whether the previous education can be fitted into your studyprogramme. Norwegian education can usually be recognized on basis of the education’s nominal length of study, while different rules may apply for foreign education.
The study programmes have different structure and give different room for recognition of previous education. Prevous education that does not fit with the programme's framework can not be fully recognized.
