Payment of semester fee, copy fee and SAIH contribution
The semester fee helps to finance the welfare services offered by SiO. Each semester, students at UiO (except ERASMUS, Nordplus/Nordlys and most Bilateral students) must pay a semester fee, copy fee and may contribute voluntarily to the Norwegian Students’ and Academics’ International Assistance Fund (SAIH). Payment information can be found in StudentWeb.
Deadlines
- Autumn: 1 September
- Spring: 1 February
Payment
Payment information, i.e. account number, new KID number and the total amount to be paid can be found in StudentWeb. You can pay in the same way as you usually pay invoices through your bank. Do not fill in an invoice by hand - use Net banking. If necessary, you can order an invoice in StudentWeb.
New programme students will receive an invoice in their welcome package.
Payment amounts
- Semester fee to the Foundation for Student Life in Oslo and Akershus (SiO) NOK 550
- Copy fee to UiO NOK 100 (NOK 50 for defined part-time studies)
- SAIH contribution, NOK 30. If you do not wish to support SAIH, subtract NOK 30 from the total invoice amount.
