How to apply for a Bachelor's degree programme for international applicants
The international Bachelor’s degree admission is under revision, but will be offered for the 2012/2013 academic year.
All Bachelor programmes at the University of Oslo are taught in Norwegian. Students who are admitted must successfully complete a Norwegian language course that lasts up to one year before they can start on the Bachelor's degree programme. Please note that an application to a Bachelor's degree programme is also an application to the mandatory Norwegian course.
Please note: If you are residing in Norway or have a valid Norwegian language test, you should apply to Samordna opptak (NUCAS) only. See information for applicants residing in Norway.
Admission requirements
Applicants for a Bachelor's degree programme are required to have the following in order to be considered:
- Higher Education Entrance Qualification for Norwegian Universities. You must have completed these requirements prior to the application deadline.
- Special admission requirements for some Bachelor’s degree programmes.
- English proficiency requirement for Bachelor’s degree admissions.
- Documentation of financing (for applicants outside the EU/EEA area).
- As admission is extremely competitive, applicants should have excellent academic records.
Application deadline
The online application form must be submitted within 1 February.
All required supporting documents must reach the International Education Office by 20 February.
How to apply
Applying to Bachelor's studies is a two-step process:
1. Submit the online application form
2. Send signed Attestation form (pdf) and required supporting documentation.
