International Master's degree admission

The University of Oslo offers more than 40 Master's degree programmes taught in English. International applicants may apply for up to two prioritized programmes.

The international Master's degree admission takes place once a year with studies starting in August.

The application deadline for non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens was 1 December. It is now too late to apply.

Check if you are eligible to apply. Information about admission requirements is available on the programme websites.


If you are not an EU/EEA/Swiss citizen you must submit documentation of financial ability together with your application.

Quota Scheme applicants are not required to document financial ability. Read about the Quota Scheme and Quota requirements here.

Register your application

Register your application in the University of Oslo's online application system - SøknadsWeb.

Please note that it is now too late to register for the 2014 admission. - The deadline was 1 December.

EU/EEA/Swiss applicants can apply to the extended deadline, 15 April - online registration will open 1 February.

Submit your documents

Submit your Attestation Form (pdf) and required supporting documents within the application deadline.

Please note that it is now too late to submit supporting documentation.

Your application results

The final result of your application will be announced by late April.
