Application process for non-EU/EEA Master's applicants

The University of Oslo offers more than 40 Master's degree programmes taught in English. The international Master's degree admission takes place once a year with studies starting in August.

The 2015 Quota admission is now open. Updated information is available on the Quota information web page.

Your application will be considered invalid if you have not uploaded any supporting documents within the December 1 deadline. Invalid applications will not be processed.

1. Prepare your application

Check if you are eligible to apply by referring to the admission requirements on the programme web pages. Only applicants who finish their degree before the admission deadline are eligible to apply.

You may apply for up to two prioritized programmes.

As a non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizen you must submit documentation of financial ability together with your application.

Quota Scheme applicants are not required to document financial ability.

2. Register your application

Register your application in SøknadsWeb - the University of Oslo's online application system. You can access SøknadsWeb through the programme web pages under Admission.

  • Please enter your name as written in your passport.
  • Please use one email address to avoid creating multiple user IDs/applications.
  • Make sure that you apply to the correct programme type: Quota Scheme/Self-financing.

3. Submit your documents

4. See your application results

The final result of your application will be announced by late April.
