    How to document test results

    TOEFL

    Complete both of the following two steps:

    1. Add the University of Oslo as a recipient of your test result, using our institution code 0756. This will enable us to verify your test result online. Which department code you choose is not relevant.
    2. Upload a copy of your test result in SĂžknadsweb. Alternatively your email receipt stating that you have added UiO as a recipient of your test score.

    IELTS

    Upload the official copy of your test result with a legible TRF number in the bottom right corner.The University of Oslo will verify your test result online. It is currently not possible to submit test results with an IELTS institutional code.

    Pearson

    Send your score report to the University of Oslo through your Pearson account. In addition, upload a PDF of your score report.

    Are you exempt from submitting an English language test?

    The following applicants are exempt from submitting an English language test. 

    • Native speakers with completed secondary education from the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand or Australia.
    • Applicants who have completed a minimum of one year's university studies in academic subjects with English as the language of instruction in UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand or Australia.
    • Applicants who have completed a minimum of one year of master's degree studies with English as the language of instruction in one of the Nordic countries or the Netherlands, or completed a bachelor's degree with English as the language of instruction in one of the Nordic countries or the Netherlands.
    • Applicants who, in 2005 or later, have passed University of Cambridge exams, Proficiency (CPE) or Advanced (CAE), or First with the grade A. You must upload your Candidate ID and Secret Number (not your personal password!) from your Confirmation of Entry.
    • Applicants who have completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme with English at Higher Level (HL) with the minimum score of 4.
    • Applicants who have passed examination in English foundation course (140 hours/5 periods per week) with a minimum grade of 4 in Norwegian upper secondary school (or an equivalent grade from a Nordic upper secondary school) or passed examination in English (140 hours/5 periods per week) from second and/or third school year in Norwegian upper secondary school.
