European and American Studies: Language, Literature and Area Studies
This is an interdisciplinary programme encompassing the regions of Europe and the Americas.The curriculum is based on a combination of language, literature and area studies. Within each field of study, you may choose to specialize in one of three disciplines.
The programme has the following fields of study:
- English
- French
- Italian
- Latin-America (area studies only)
- North-America (area-studies only)
- Portuguese
- Russian
- Central Europe and the Balkans
- Spanish
- German
In addition to the specialization, the students can choose other courses in the social sciences and the humanities as a part of the degree.
Additional admission criteria:
Applicants to this programme must specify the study option and the language in which they wish to specialize. Please note that if you seek admission to English, French, German, Spanish or Portuguese, prior knowledge in that language must be documented.
