Linguistics

This programme gives you an insight and knowledge about language in general. Instead of focusing on one language you will be provided with formative theory and method in the study of human language.

It covers how language is built up, its usage and development and the geographic and social variations. You will also study the differences and similarities between languages. Furthermore the programme gives you training in written
presentation and argumentation. Linguistics is a subject in constant change, and this programme introduces you to an exciting area of research. Students choose both a major (80 credits) in linguistics and a minor (40 credits) in a language or other subjects from the programme’s varied course menu.
