Psychology
Psychology is the study of people’s actions, reactions, thoughts, and feelings, both as individuals and within social contexts.
The programme offers different paths within social, developmental, cognitive, and organisational psychology, and within culture, minorities, and communication. The courses examine a variety of research methods, explanations and perspectives, and are well suited to be combined with other courses in the social sciences and the humanities.
You will receive a growing understanding of the reasons and mechanisms behind human actions, and you will be able to analyse human beings' interaction with their surroundings. There will often be different ways of approaching the same phenomena. An important part of the programme will be to see how a phenomenon can be explained in several ways and to enable you to compare the merits of different explanations.
