Admission packet
All new international students admitted to the University of Oslo will receive an admission packet by regular post. In addition many students will receive an e-mail once they have been admitted to the University of Oslo.
The Admission packet contains the following documents
- Letter of Admission
- Pre-arrival guide Autumn 2012 (pdf)
- Welcome letter
- Blue letter addressed to the Norwegian Immigration authorities (only for students from outside the EU/EEA-area)

- Checklist for application for student residence permit (pdf)
When to expect the admission packet
- Students who have applied for a bachelor's or master's degree programme will receive the admission packet in April/May.
- EU-citizens who have applied for a master's degree programme by 15 April will receive information in early June.
- Students who have applied for an exchange programme (Erasmus, Nordplus/Nordlys, bilateral etc.) starting in August will receive the admission packet in May/June.
- Students who have applied for an exchange programme (Erasmus, Nordplus/Nordlys, bilateral etc.) starting in January will receive the admission packet in November.
