- I attended the two-year program Theory and Practice of Human Rights with the class of 2004 - 2006 while working as a political adviser in the Norwegian Parliament.

- The master program gave me the possibility to go into depth and gain new knowledge on issues I had worked on previously and to also gain new knowledge on thematic issues such as International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights and Counter-Terrorism.

- In addition I thoroughly enjoyed being part of an international group of students with varied knowledge and input to discussions.

- The Law Faculty has a number of very good courses that can be included in the Master program and that was of special value to me. I also included a course on Women and Human Rights, as that has always been of special interest.

- As of March 2008 I work as a Government Relations Manager with UNIFEM at headquarters I New York. UNIFEM is the women's fund at the United Nations. It provides financial and technical assistance to innovative programs and strategies to foster women's empowerment and gender equality.
