Handing in the Master's thesis, practical information
• When your thesis is ready for printing, you must send an e-mail to the reception at the Department of Political Science (ekspedisjon(at)stv.uio.no). The receptionist will send a requisition directly to the University Print Center(Reprosentralen) (located in the basement of the central administration building) immediately after receiving your e-mail. You should then send a PDF full text file of your thesis to: teknisk-repro@admin.uio.no
Requisition and file must be submitted to Reprosentralen 4 working days before deadline.• All students get a requisition of 10 copies, 4 of which are handed in to the Department, the other 6 copies are for the student’s own use. If you have a co-supervisor, you must hand in 5 copies to the Programme/Department of Political Science.• When your copies are ready for pick up at Reprosentralen, you must register your Master's thesis hand-in on the web (DUO ). There you should submit the name of your supervisor, year and title of your thesis. A short summary of your thesis and a full text version of your thesis should be submitted at the same time. The thesis will not be published before the grading of your thesis is completed.• When you have completed the DUO registration, be sure to print the form (receipt) and submit it together with 4(5) copies to the Programme/Department. In addition, you should fill in the forms Compulsory personal statement and Mandatory study form • When the thesis is submitted to the Department/Programme, you will get a written notice when a thesis commission has been appointed. When a date and time of the oral exam has been scheduled, you will receive an e-mail from the Department/Programme. Be aware that we only use your student e-mail address. Please make sure to update your student e-mail address in the studentweb. The oral exams will be held in June and August.• Approximately 6 weeks (sometimes later) after the oral exam, your Master’s diploma will be sent to your mailing address. It is therefore important that you have updated your mail address in the studentweb.
