APPLICANTS SOUGHT FOR UiO’s TELDERS MOOT COMPETITION TEAM The Hague, 2018
APPLICANTS SOUGHT FOR UiO’s TELDERS MOOT COMPETITION TEAM
The Hague, 2018
Are you interested in public international law?
Do you want to learn how to draft Memorials in English?
Do you want to learn how to plead cases before judges?
Do you want to compete against other European teams in The Hague next year?
If so, Telders International Law Moot Competition could be for you!
We are seeking a team of four highly motivated individuals to form UiO’s team for next year’s Telders International Moot Competition.
The Competition is held annually in The Hague. Teams from throughout Europe compete, presenting a case involving a fictitious dispute between two states before the International Court of Justice.
The successful team members will spend from October- January drafting their Memorials and from January-April practicing pleading the case, before travelling to The Hague in April/May 2018 to compete.
It is a wonderful learning experience, and previous participants have described it as being a highlight of their University career.
Interested applicants are required to take part in an audition which has both a written and oral element.
Please note that it is not necessarily your knowledge of the law that is being tested in the audition, but rather your ability to argue and present a good case.
Details of the audition are available at: http://www.uio.no/studier/emner/jus/jus/JUS5040/prosedyrekonkurranser/audition-for-the-telders-team-2018.pdf
The deadline for submission is: 10pm on Monday 24h September.
