Changes have been made to the structure of the master's programmes. Instead of offering two different master's programmes, we now offer only one. However, it will be possible to choose between three different specialisations. In connection with these changes, we have published new webpages.

  • Guarding the Money Bin

    The next time you hear that the key policy rate is reduced it might be the work of Kathrine Lund. Her job is to keep a hawk s eye on the foreign exchange markets and give advice about the interest rate determination to management of the Central Bank of Norway.

  • Enjoying life in Storebrand

    Working as trainees in Storebrand, Petter Ringstad Leinaas and Nicolai Bryde have experienced that not all problems are identical to text book examples as they were taught at Blindern. Still they claim that economists are very well suited to impress the big bosses in Storebrand.

    To all graduates from the Department of Economics 2012,

    You are invited to attend the graduation dinner and party to celebrate the completion of your degree. The event will take place at Kunstnernes Hus on Thursday June 14th at 19:30. You will be served a three course meal. The price of the meal is 395 NOK per person, not including wine. Please send an e-mail to ingridmsh@hotmail.com to reserve your spot no later than May 4th. The registration is binding. The payment is done individually at the night of the event.
