Welcome to the 24th Nordic Conference for the Sociology of Religion 2018.
PLEASE NOTE that the City of Oslo has invited all conference participants to a welcome reception in Oslo City Hall on the evening of July 31st.
The objective of this interdisciplinary course is to critically analyze – empirically and conceptually – processes of transformation in rural areas as related to access to and governance of resources and how these are reshaping the lives of people living there.

From its inception in 1981, the Nordic Patristics Meeting has become an important academic tradition for scholars and students working in the field of Early Christian Studies in the Nordic countries. August 13–15, 2018, Nordic scholars will again convene for the meeting's tenth installment, this time hosted by the University of Oslo at beautiful Lysebu just outside Oslo city centre for three days of papers on the topic of monasticism.
