Writing nature in science and technology studies (STS)
Nature and the natural seminar (14.03.12): Natural scientists are not the only scholars studying, analysing and writing about nature: So do also scholars within the disciplines of the social sciences and the humanities. But how is this done? "Writing nature" is the topic for this spring's seminar series organised by the Kultrans research group Nature and the Natural. Representatives from various disciplines are invited to present and discuss with us. This Wednesday the turn has come to science and technology studies (STS).
John Law, Ingunn Moser, Kristin Asdal and Brita Brenna.
John Law (Open University): "Writing slippery"
Ingunn Moser (Diakonhjemmet University College): Writing the nature of dementia, memory, time and temporality
Brita Brenna (University of Oslo): On writing nature out of glass cases
Kristin Asdal (University of Oslo): Writing the nature of bureaucratic documents
Registration: We will offer lunch. Please notify Beate Trandem of your presence.
