Course content
Gynaecology&Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Child Psychiatry, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Clinical Biochemistry and Physiology, Medical Genetics, General Practice.
Learning outcomes
The main themes of this semester are reproduction, pregnancy/birth, women and child diseases.

Teaching
Lectures, small group teaching, courses, labs and clinical practice. Full time study.
Exam information
The examination is performed as a station-based examination. Some stations are designed as OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) stations, some as multiple choice stations, some as short essay stations. The tasks to perform / the questions asked on the stations will test both clinical skills and theoretical knowledge. The examination takes place at the end of the semester.
Exam resources
All exams at the professional degree in Medicine allows the use of a calculator (only the calculator Citizen SR-270X is approved). No other calculator is allowed. No dictionaries are allowed.
An exception is made for incoming students in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th semester, and also students in the first three semesters who can provide documents that they are attending Norwegian language courses. These groups may apply to bring a bilingual dictionary to the exam. The application deadline is 4 weeks prior to the exam. Send the application to postmottak@medisin.uio.no
