Guest lecture by László Andor - 8. April
László Andor, the European Commissioner responsible for employment, social affairs and inclusion will be holding a lecture on “The Employment and Social Situation in the European Union”. Time and place as usual: Monday 8 April, 14:15-cca 15:45, Auditorium 7, Eilert Sundts hus. Andor will be talking for about 45 minutes, followed by questions from the audience. In his speech he will present the latest figures and trends (employment and social data), talk abut EU and government actions amidst crisis recovery to boost growth, employment and living conditions. He will also be focusing on youth employment, demographic trends (immigration, ageing, etc.), and finally the future of the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) and its social aspects. Andor is an economist by profession and is currently on leave from his position as associate professor at the Economics Department at the Corvinus University of Budapest.
