Mobility for students, staff and researchers
Every year over 1000 UiO students spend time abroad, whether for a year or a few weeks.
Students in all of UiO’s study programmes are actively encouraged to go abroad for a semester or full year as part of their degree.
UiO has exchange agreements (Norwegian) with more than 500 universities around the world and participates in a number of international exchange programmes such as Erasmus+ and Nordplus. Agreements are based on mutual interest in cooperation between our own and the cooperating institution’s researchers and departments. If you are interested in setting up an exchange agreement with UiO, please
- Contact the relevant department directly. If in doubt whom to contact, please
- Email email@example.com or
- Email our institutional Erasmus+ coordinators at firstname.lastname@example.org for questions about Erasmus+ agreements.
If your university already has an Erasmus+ agreement with UiO, you may be particularly interested in exploring the possibilities for Erasmus+ staff mobility for teaching and training.
Incoming Exchange students
Last year, UiO welcomed more than 1200 international exchange students on campus. You can find more information about exchange programmes, admission and support services for incoming exchange students here.
Staff mobility and guest visits
We strongly encourage our staff to visit similar institutions around the world to get an insight into how universities across the globe work. We also welcome staff from our international partner universities to visit UiO.
