University kindergarten

The University’s kindergarten is owned and run by the University of Oslo. Places in it are reserved for the children of University employees. The day-care institution is authorised to have 63 full-time places for children aged 1-6 years old, divided into five departments.

  • The day-care institution is open daily from 07:45 – 16:45. From 1 June until 1 September, we close at 16:00.
  • The day-care institution is basically open every working day apart from Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, but it may close for some days in periods when there are so many children on holiday that very few are attending the day-care institution.
