Erasmus+ gir støtte til allianser mellom universiteter i Erasmus+-landene for å skape fyrtårn for høyere utdanning i Europa. De Europeiske universitetene skal utvikle en felles langtidsstrategi for utdanning, styrke koblingen mellom utdanning, forskning og innovasjon og tilby grader som kombinerer studier i flere land. En allianse kan søke støtte til følgende aktiviteter: 

  • Teste ulike innovative og strukturelle modeller for å bidra til visjonen om "Europeiske universitet" med felles langtidsstrategi, europeiske tverrnasjonale campus og utfordringsbaserte tilnærminger til læring og undervisning.
  • Utviklingen av en felles styringsstruktur på tvers av alliansen.

European Universities (ERASMUS-EDU-2023-EUR-UNIV) Objective: The ‘European Universities’ initiative is part of the ‘Partnerships for Excellence’ support provided in the framework of the new Erasmus+ Programme. This initiative has an ambitious mandate aimed to trigger and deepen unprecedented levels of institutional cooperation between higher education institutions, making it systemic, structural and sustainable. It aims to encourage the emergence of bottom-up alliances of universities across Europe, which will enable students to combine studies in several countries.

The present call Topic ERASMUS-EDU-2023-EUR-UNIV-2 (Topic 2) will provide support for applicants wishing to establish new deep institutional transnational cooperation in a new ‘European Universities’ alliance.

This initiative has an ambitious mandate aimed to trigger and deepen unprecedented levels of institutional cooperation between higher education institutions, making it systemic, structural and sustainable. It aims to encourage the emergence of bottom-up alliances of universities across Europe, which will enable students to combine studies in several countries.

To achieve this, the present call Topic ERASMUS-EDU-2023-EUR-UNIV-1 (Topic 1) will provide support for already existing deep institutional transnational cooperation alliances , including – but not limited to - European Universities alliances selected under the 2020 Erasmus+ call for proposals (EAC/A02/2019). The aim is to build upon the institutional cooperation achieved so far and to further deepen, intensify and expand the effectiveness of this existing cooperation to advance the higher education transformation process towards fully fledged ‘European Universities’.

Researcher Project for Young Talents . See call english text. The call consists of several themes like Ocean, Education and skills, Welfare, culture and society. You can direct your application to one of these. For each theme, there is an announced amount and specified priorities for selecting the projects to be financed. We do not advertise funds for the topic of Ground-breaking research (FRIPRO) in this call for proposals. 

  • Funding 4-8 mill. You must work for the project at least 25% per year , and your position at the IFI must be at least 50%.

Erasmus+ exchange students on the PhD level are treated as guest researchers at the University of Oslo and will not be given student status. These students will not receive the regular admission letter but must contact their host department for academic and practical follow up.

Funding for Research Stay Abroad for Researchers 3-12 months  Only approved Norwegian research organisations may apply for funding for research stays abroad under this call for proposals.The grant application must lie within the scope of this call; thematic areas like IKTpluss, FRIPRO, Climate, Nano, Energy etc..Funding available for research stays abroad for project managers of ea.YRT and FRIPRO etc.

-Rates single NOK 21'/Family 37'.+ visa costs and documented tuition fees expenses and additional funds for 1 roundtrip.-Applications must be submitted at the latest six weeks prior to the start of the research stay.-The stay abroad cannot be divided into several shorter stays (unless you have children below age 16 -family home).

Visiting researchers: Funding for Stay in Norway 1-12 months  The purpose of this call is to create a framework to encourage more international collaboration. This call is open to grant applications for designated visiting researchers who are employed at foreign research institutions. The visiting researcher must have an approved doctorate or equivalent qualifications before submission of the grant application. The grant application must be submitted no later than six weeks before the start of the research stay. 

Rates for research visits to Norway (the rates apply for 2022):

Month 1: NOK 56 000 /Month 2–12: NOK 32 000/In addition to the fixed rates above, the host organisation may apply for funding to cover round-trip travel costs (cheapest mode of travel) for the visiting researcher.
