The Carpentries is a volunteer organisation teaching foundational coding and data science skills to researchers worldwide.

At the University of Oslo (UiO) Software Carpentry, Data Carpentry, and Library Carpentry workshops are offered to graduates and researchers from all faculties and units to facilitate sharing and re-using of data.

Research Bazaar

UiO has been a part of the international Research Bazaar from 2017. The aim of these global events is to equip researchers from all career stages with the digital skills and tools required to do their research better, faster and smarter. University of Oslo is a member of the The Carpentries. The membership status enables us to strengthen the effort at UiO and gives easier access to instructor training.
