University management has decided that all normal teaching activities at the University of Oslo will cease from Friday 13 March 2020. From tomorrow, teaching will be held digitally. These measures are taken to prevent infection from the corona virus.

Starting tomorrow, Thursday, 12 March, we will make sure that as many courses as possible are offered digitally. We will cancel all events organised by UiO, except for courses.
The journal packages from PsycARTICLES and the ProQuest Health Research Premium Collection are no longer available after March 1, 2020. At UiO and OUS, we have had access to these journal packages through "Helsebiblioteket". Update as of March 23: The library has now set up the Get It Now service to access articles.

Since the mid-nineties it has been possible for all UiO students and staff to have their own private websites on the web server folk.uio.no. On 1 September, it's over. As a content owner, you must do your own moving job!
State employees are exempt from work as of 12 pm (midday) on Wednesday before Maundy Thursday to the extent their work responsiblities allow for this.
Beyond this, the following days are work-free: Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Eve, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. This year, this applies to the period 9-13 April.

Thursday, February 27, is UiO's annual winter activity day. This year the cross-country skiing has been moved to Lygnasæter at Hadeland. There you can choose the length of the trip according to your physical shape and desire. Sign up by 20 February.

Your local accounts unit must receive your travel expenses and outlay reimbursement claims at the latest by Tuesday, 26 November, if these are to be registered in the accounts for 2019.

The results of this survey on harassment and bullying in the higher education sector from the spring are clear. The survey shows that 13% of employees have felt bullied and harassed. Cases of sexual abuse have also been reported.

To foster intensive and cutting-edge collaborations in education and research, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), The University of Copenhagen (UC), and The University of Oslo (UiO) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the establishment of the Hong Kong-Nordic Research Network.
