Also this fall, local salary negotiations will be held at UiO. Claims are set forth by the employer and the trade unions who then negotiate an agreement on who will receive salary increases. On Friday morning, LO Stat, Akademikerne, Unio and YS Stat came to an agreement on the salary settlement in the state after assistance from the state mediator. A strike has thus been averted.

Egencia is now introducing a scheme to optimize the travel process. The scheme comes into force on 22 April, 2019.
Before departure, Egencia will monitor price reductions on air tickets. If they discover savings opportunities, they will rebook qualified tickets at a cheaper price.
After the journey: If you need to change your travel plans or you miss your plane and cannot cancel your flight, Egencia will continue to refund for unused tickets.
Visit the new exhibition about the Vikings at the Historical Museum. This exhibition reveals unknown aspects of Viking culture. As a UiO-employee you have free entrance. This also applies for children under the age of 18.
State employees are exempt from work as of 12 pm (midday) on Wednesday before Maundy Thursday to the extent their work responsiblities allow for this.
Beyond this, the following days are work-free: Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Eve, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. This year, this applies to the period 18-22 April.
