The Women’s Choral Society of the University of Oslo with Inga Tangen Stensrud and Eirik Krokfjord.
They performed The Lapse of Time, an oratorio based on Charles Darwin’s On the Origin of Species. In the first part «Bones» we met Darwin wondering about the striking similarities between bones in the forelegs of various mammals. In the second part, we learned about the «Mistletoe» that struggles with other fruit-bearing plants to tempt birds. The lyrics are Darwin’s own, adapted by the composer Bjørn Morten Christophersen from the Department of Musicology at UiO.
