Conference: Global Challenges - Nordic Experiences

The conference is now over, and the organizers would like to thank all that contributed to making the conference a success! We are looking forward to seeing you in Helsinki 7-9 March 2018!

UiO:Nordic intends to provide new knowledge about the Nordic countries and models, including their historical preconditions, challenges, paradoxes and opportunities for the future.

The aim of the conference is to present the initiative to a broader audience and establish an international forum for researchers who work with issues related to Nordic experiences.  Such a forum may critically examine the idea of a Nordic model but also contribute to an international dialogue about strategic and political choices, social and cultural development, and sustainable solutions for the future.

Monday 20 March

  • Plenary on the current status of research in Nordic studies and the study of Nordic societal models and ideas and experiences associated with historical and recent developments in the Nordic countries
  • The plenary will be followed by parallel streams with invited experts and paper presentations

Tuesday 21 March

  • Parallel streams with invited experts and paper presentations
