Living the Nordic Model Welcomes Three New Colleagues

On Friday 17 August it was announced that three new colleagues would join the Living the Nordic Model project team.

Niamh Ní Bhroin will be employed as Project Coordinator.  Niamh will be responsible for coordinating Living the Nordic Model together with Elisabeth Staksrud, who is the Project Leader.  Niamh will also implement her own research project entitled 'Nordic Children and Digital CItizenship'.  In this project Niamh will further explore the research questions that she has been working with as a Postdoctroal Researcher at the Department of Media and Communication at UiO since 2016.

Khalid Ezat Azam is employed as a PhD researcher and will explore 'Nordic Parents and the Mediation of Computer Games'.  Khalid comes to Living the Nordic Model from the Norwegian Medietilsynet where he has worked with the topic of children and media since 2012.

Victoria de Leon Born is also employed as a PhD researcher with the project and will research 'Conflicting Ideals in Nordic Motherhood, An Enquiry into Narratives of Intensive Mothering and Child Autonomy'.  Victoria completed her Masters Thesis at the Department of Education at the University of Oslo where she explored how the transition to adulthood is experienced in late modern culture.

The new colleagues will be co-located at an office at the Department of Media and Communication. We are looking forward to following the development of their research.
