Living the Nordic Model researchers discuss Children's Freedom
Researchers from the Living the Nordic Model project discussed children's freedom during an event organised by the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Oslo, as part of the Norwegian Research Festival, 'Forskningsdagene'.
On Wednesday, 26 September, Professor Elisabeth Staksrud from the Department of Media and Communication and Professor Reidar Aasgaard from the Department of Philosophy, Classics and the History of Ideas (both at the University of Oslo), participated in a panel debate organised by the Faculty of Humanities as part of the annual Norwegian research festival, Forskningsdagene.
The panel debated the topic of 'Children's freedom: In the past, and today'. They discussed the extent to which children have been granted freedom throughout history, as well as the extent to which children actually are free today. One psychologist and three researchers participated in the panel.
