On Monday, 24 September, Professor Elisabeth Staksrud from the Department of Media and Communication at the University of Oslo, and Researcher Kjartan Ólafsson from the University of Akureyri presented new research about Norwegian children's interactions with hate speech on the Internet.  This research was conducted as part of the EU Kids Online project.

The implications of this research were also discussed by an interdisciplinary group, including researchers from the Living the Nordic Model project, practitioners and activists.  This presentation and debate took place during an event organised by the Living the Nordic Model project team at the annual Norwegian research festival, Forskningsdagene.

The event was opened by the State Secretary for the Ministry of Justice and Social Security, Knut Morten Johansen (FrP).
