NORDHOST collective workshop
Nordhost holds its first collective workshop in August 2017:
Nordhost is organised as a common project focusing on uniting the subprojects and disciplines. The main activity at the workshop will therefore be to unify the subproject around NORDHOST's primary research question; Is there anything specific about Nordic forms of hospitality which are developing in the encounters between arriving migrants and civil society receiving projects? Furthermore, the goal of the workshop is to develop the plans for future NORDHOST publications, with the preliminary title: Nordic (In)hospitalities – Hosts, guests and resistance in a context of forced displacement.
NORDHOST's six junior researchers will also have their first common assembly, at Holmen Fjordhotell 23rd August. The goal is to establish a working and research collective between the fulltime researchers of NORDHOST.
The workshop is only open to researchers affiliated with the NORDHOST project and not open to the public.
