Setting up Outlook for Mac

The tutorial shows you how to set up Outlook for Mac for use with email, calendar, to-do list and address book.

Start Outlook.

The first time the program starts, it will run a tutorial to help you set up the program against UiO's e-mail and calendar service.

If you are already using Outlook, you can access the wizard by going to Preferences in Outlook.

1. Choose to create New Account... .

2. In the wizard's first window, enter your e-mail address in the form Then click Continue.

3. You will now be asked to manually set up Outlook against UiO's e-mail and calendar service. Select the authentication method to be Username and Password.

4. Enter your domain username in the form uio\username or

5. Enter your UiO password.

6. In the field for Server (optional), enter

7. Finish by clicking Add Account

8. Check Always use my response for this server and click Allow for the server to configure the settings.

9. Outlook has now been set up for UiO's e-mail and calendar service. Click the Done button to finish. If you want to set up Outlook against another e-mail and calendar services click Add Another Account.
