GRE tests

The GRE General test is a multiple-choice test that consists of subject area tests that measure your verbal, quantitative and analytical writing skills.

GRE Subject tests are multiple-choice tests in specific subject areas.

When and where

There are a limited number of dates available for taking a computer-based GRE test in Norway. More test dates are available if you take the computer-based test abroad. The nearest test centers for regularly scheduled computer-based tests are located in Denmark, Finland and the UK. 

GRE General testdates in Norway can be found here by clicking on the "View test centers, test dates and seat availability" link. Seat availability at other computer-based test centres can be found there too. You can choose when to test from the dates available, but only once every 21 days.

GRE Subject Tests can be taken once per semester.

The GRE website offers some free preparation materials for either the General test or Subject tests. You can purchase preparation materials online  from either Tanum or Amazon bookstores.
