Ready, set, UiO!

Welcome to Ready, set, UiO! This event will help you get started with your studies at UiO.

At this event, you will get lots of useful advice on how to get the most out of your studies, how you can plan for a future work career in Norway and how to find the best balance between a good social life, studies and part-time work. 

Program

Come early for a free breakfast including a fresh sandwich, coffee, juice and fruits. We start serving breakfast from 09:30am. First come, first serve. 

From 10:00am you can attend different plenary and parallell sessions on topics such as: Time management, coping with stress, academic writing, referencing and citations, study techniques and how to plan for a career in Norway after your studies.  

Throughout the day you can visit information stands in Georg Sverdrups hus, and find out more about the services of: The International Student Reception, the University Library and the Academic Writing Centre, the Career Services at UiO, the Student Parliament at UiO and the Ombud for Students.

How can you best prepare for your new life as a student in Oslo? In this course we aim to teach you how to take charge in your studies. A student counsellor and a psychologist talk about time management, coping with stress and how to develop a healthy internal dialogue.
