International students who need help to register for Norwegian language courses on the Studentweb are welcome to attend this course registration help.
The Oslo Police Department will be present at UiO and assist students that are non-EU citizens to register that you have arrived in Norway and to book an appointment.

We hereby invite female Master's students to a sneak peek event on August 12th. The event is for female students starting on a Master's program in informatics or entrepreneurship this fall. Feel free to participate, whether you are a fresh IFI student or just a fresh Master's student.
The University of Oslo greets all new students with a traditional ceremony at the University Square on Monday 12 August 2019.
The Department of Informatics is pleased to invite all candidates who have submitted their thesis during the spring semester of 2019 to a formal reception. There will be a ceremony where candidates will be awarded a temporary diploma. Candidates, supervisors, family, friends and fellow students are all welcome!
Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th of April is spring master's week - open to all IFI students who started their master's degree in fall 2018.
There will be no attendance taken for this master's week, and you can choose which sessions to attend.
The introduction week for New masters students in the spring semester of 2019, will take place on Tuesday, January 8th, Wednesday, January 9th and Friday, January 11th. NO events will take place on Thursday, January 10th.
All lectures will be in English, unless otherwise specified.
