– The LLM Program helped me gain a truly international and analytic perspective regarding the legal challenges of the Information Society.

After graduating from the Law Faculty at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iasi, Romania in 2003, Dana Irina Cojocarasu was awarded a Norwegian Quota Scholarship in order to attend the LLM in Information and Communication Technology Law at Oslo University.  The study gave me the opportunity to work with experienced scholars and practitioners who were able to structure and to guide my steps through the multitude of Directives, Regulations, Legal Articles and Court Decisions in the field, says Dana Irina Cojocarasu.

During the second semester of her studies, she began working as a research assistant on one of the European Research Projects in which the Norwegian Research Center for Computers and Law was a partner. She is still one part of the NRCCL team, being employed by the University of Oslo as a researcher on two FP6 European Research Projects, “TrustCoM” and “Legal IST”.

– It was amazing to discover how many students from around the world shared my interest for Information Technology Law. My fellow Master students came from Indonesia, Turkey, Chile, Mexico, Belgium, Norway, Italy, Spain and we all benefited from each other’s experience.
