Call for Research Assistants
C-REX is hiring three research assistants to be working with the Right-Wing Terrorism and Violence in Western Europe (RTV) dataset
The RTV dataset covers right-wing terrorism and violence in 18 West European countries between 1990 and 2015. The Center for Research on Extremism (C-REX) is now hiring three research assistants to be working part time on developing an updated version of the RTV dataset.
The job consists of reviewing online sources to identify relevant events, and then code these events according to set of variables using Excel. You will be working jointly in a team of three research assistants, and the work will be done at C-REX/UiO. Training will begin already in April/May, while the bulk of the job is expected to be done in June.
To qualify for the position, you must be enrolled as a master student in the Political Science or Peace and Conflict Studies (political science track) programs at UiO. In addition, grades and languages skills besides English, such as German, French, Italian, or Spanish, will be taken into consideration.

- a short motivational statement
- a recent grade transcript from the University of Oslo
- a short description of you language skills using the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) standards
